Bondi Business

I haven't posted a photo of my outfits in a while, I actual get scared asking my boyfriend to take them now because I ask him all the time, and there goes the rolling eye balls.

I went down to Bondi Wholefoods with my friend Gab got a really good Cacao, Banana and Cinnamon Smoothie with Avocado and Ricotta on Sourdough bread which is my breakfast obsession. Here are some post brecky photos.

Timeless Boots

I've been avoiding these bad boys all my life, thinking "everyone has them... I don't need them", until it came to bar drinking and parties where your over the whole heel shenanigan and just want to be flat footed. I decided I needed these. I've been meaning to get black boots with a small heel as well, but thought I'd just start off with a classic flat pair from Wittner, which I am just loving. Good for day time and night time adventures! I also have an idea that black boots will never go out of fashion.

Also if your after a pair of basic good quality shoes head to where you can buy two pairs and the second one you get $50 off... which I bribed my mum to do with me :) So ask your friends if you don't want to buy a second pair... but still a great deal!

Simple obsession: Pink

Let's be honest and reveal the truth about my little fantasy at the moment. It's Pink of course. I've never actually claimed pink to ever be my favourite colour.. ever, but all of a sudden I seem to be drawn towards it especially in coats this winter. I've never been a prissy girl, so its hard for me to come to terms with my current obsession with all things pink, pink mag covers, pink nails, pink bras, even back to using my pink country road bag.

I think it just has to do with a girl pride sorta attitude I've been having lately about fashion, and how I'm feeling quite liberating towards my Europe trip i'll be taking in 10 days!

Enjoy my inspo above.

The Art Of Block

Being a religious follower of Jacquemus' designs I have learnt the art of Block. Not just in color but in style and shape. He pries on the appearance of what Elle's May 2014 issue calls 'Sculptural Diversity'. Elles pre-fall 2014 report states that this includes colour blocking, splicing and graphic diagonal lines, all of which must consist of a strong silhouette. Now looking at the images above class, wouldn't you think they are spot on in reference with Jacquemus?

I think a lot of the styles that have been emerging recently, have been dressed  head to toe in basics. Now I love this idea because it keeps me feeling cool and casual and comfy (The CCCs), but to jazz that up in high fashion world and to derifientuate myself or even yourself from everyone else who is rocking all the C, C, C's, Jacquemus' designs are starting to have a toll on me.

I think i'm really influenced by his Instagram posts especially because of how he shoots in areas of France where I've noticed a few photos taken down in the south. I lived in the South of France for two years and can really relate to the kind of atmosphere he's depicting, including the Orangina sodas I used to drink non stop!

So next time when your going all "Back to Basics", buy or wear something bold, whether it be a stronger material, brighter colour or bold silhouette shape. But don't forget the white socks and sneakers with your Jacquemus impersonation.

P.S Also follow it's sooo great!

Personal Update

From saving and not buying any clothes at all until Europe, I have finally given in to the only thing that I can get my hands on that is the closest thing to the latest trends. Yes I hit up the local newspaper store and stocked up hard on magazzzines! First of all mum wanted Vogue Living because we were told our newly renovated house was on the cover of a Hare and Klein book that had featured in V.L. However after all the excitement it was just a tiny book in the corner of the page with the front cover as a random close up of the sides of one of our chairs and some sort of red plant practically covering it. Long story short it was a bit disappointing, however now I have more blog inspiration a long with my four other new magazzzzines!

I am from now on going to take more time really sorting out my blog posts since I'm slowing gaining my own personal style. I have felt for a long time that my style has seriously changed and thinking it was a scary thing in the beginning has now blossomed into something really good and that I am finally starting to be very proud of. I really want to start opening up to my readers whoever you may be. Therefore I am going to really start writing more interesting things about my daily routines, what I am doing, what I'm not doing and even start to give fashion tips in writing since I could have wrongly mistaken the aspect that images speak louder than words. Apparently people do like to read (I guess i'll have to admit now that I'm a guilty mag image flipper througher).

It's really been a tough past year for me, I lost my dad to cancer this time last year and so my passions and aspirations didn't matter so much to me and was worrying about other people and didn't realise I was losing myself. I got a bit worried about that and so I decided to lift myself up, take a gap year this year and work on myself. I lost a lot of my passion for fashion I guess you could say, and it got me really upset because its kinda my thing, and I'm sure a lot of people who know me could vouch for that. It may sound strange to people that it got me upset, but I'm sure if you could imagine yourself losing something you really enjoy and live for, I'm sure you'd feel quite lost. So of course Back to Basics I start.

Things are looking a lot clearer for me so do not worry at all. I have been really motivated this year to save for Europe, test the water out in different creative areas that I might like to pursue one day (like the work experience I just did with Hare and Klein the interior design company), then in Europe I'll be doing a Fashion, Photography and Editorial short course at the London College of Contemporary Arts at the beginning of June, then July I'll travel around Europe with friends and then come back and do something new, but I'm not sure yet. All of which I will be updating you about by the way!

So anyways I'm making this post because blogging is my passion and it's influenced by the journey of my life and interests, where there are going to be good and bad things that will happen like in anybody else's life, and that's completely and utterly important because it's the core of my blog, since it shapes what I will and what I may not post. I thought I should just let you guys, the supporters of my blog in on what had really been up under all the images.

New Kicks

It was quite an asian day, with my Japanese mag collection and yum cha with the fam.
I love my reeboks, I never really buy shoes in white because I always dirty them, but I thought I should at least once, and look after them as best as I can, that way I shall see in the future if I can take care of white shoes in general. Live update: it seems they are still pretty squeaky clean, lets hope they stay that way.

Grab yourselves some comfy walking shoes for the winter, I assure you they do not disappoint.

The Tourist

I know I haven't posted in a while but its because I've been so shaken by the style of my photos and was waiting for something really good for me to post. So I'm hoping you like the tiles!
I'm going to experiment a lot more with photoshop so stay tuned. Also if you haven't realised I've been sharing a lot of pink on my Instagram even thought I've never liked the colour. But have a look.
