Grey Days

Another lazy day in another lazy outfit. Its obviously really sunny today but I wrote this last week in the effort to post it up, but never happened. This time I'm actually going to update you on my life at the moment since I haven't really been writing much in my last few posts. Lately I've been contemplating the idea of uni and my gap year. I'm excited to say I am actually saving money (hooray!) and I am defiantly going to Europe. Before I leave I am going to buy a Canon Camera and take recordings of my trip, and hopefully show you all, however I am going in July so it will be a while. I'm not too sure where I'm going yet, but I know for sure I'll be in London and Greece. London because, for those who don't know me, I lived there for 2 years when I was 10 and have family and friends there. I've also been in really close contact with my closest english frand, Clemmie who has actually been staying with me for a while in Oz with two friends, Ella and JuJu, who are such amazing girls who have already made me very keen to go back and see them in London, as well as knowing I'll have places to stay and more friends to see! I'm extremely excited to go to Greece because I've never been and that beautiful architecture and crystal clear water really entices me. Before the Europe tour though, I'll be heading up north twice, to Byron and then Tweed Heads.

So uni, education, learning. Yeah, about that. After finishing a Film course last year I am surprised to say I want to start getting involved with Interior Design since I spent a lot of last year enjoying production design. I might be doing work experience with an Interior Design company in the next few months and know them well as they worked on my own house. I hope that talking to them will encourage me to take the right steps towards the legit uni courses next year. Also I'm doing my first renovation with my mum in a few more months. helping her with a manly apartment, so I'll be doing that as well this year. For now its work experience, work-savings, travelling and having a good time. (and more blog posts).

Arcade Vintage

Arcade Vintage is a store I came across in Newport on the way up to Palmy. Although I didn't end up buying anything, they had some gorgeous pieces and the layout and set up of the store was really simplistic and had a good vibe. If you live or head up that way, go check it out.

New Boy on the Block

Up in Avalon the local pets store was advertising puppy sitting. My sister had done it two night before and when I arrived I was so excited to greet this little cutie who we named pop eye. Even though it peed and pooped everywhere we were so sad to give it back the next day. I also thought I should use the little thing to win my followers over with a cute post. Did it work?

Ellamaximillion

Thank you a million Toto and Ling Ling for my lovely 19th Birthday gift. For ages I've been stalking the Ellamaximillion Instagram in hope that one day I would own one of them myself. This is one of many gorgeous designs by the talented Ella Haines, who has bought the chocker back from the 90s and redesigned it for a more modern take.

I love these designs so much because they cover a range of styles from formal to informal occasions. However if I overwear mine, there are plenty more where that came from on her website.

Prayer Flags

This is a boxing day purchase I have just released now. I've always wanted these prayer flags and at Tree of Life on boxing day they were 25% off. Hip Hip Hurray! I love buying new things to decorate my room with and these flags give my big plain white wall a colourful splash!

The Rocks

I've always found the rocks a funny place. Its like, if you took the concrete road and walkways out and replaced them with small pebbles, the location would be transformed into a little old fashion 19th century village with cute little tea and scone cafes hidden in the backyard of terrace houses.

Yesterday I went to the rocks with Lea and Shannon. This was my first time going to the rocks markets and as enjoyable as the corn and the cob and fresh lemonade, the vibe was even better. Spray painting space artworks, delicious food stalls, creepy little goblin masks, carpet covered shoes are sold here.

I've always been in love with hand-made stuff and I really had to get a vietnamese hand-made bag and ended up getting this really strange orange coloured one which I'll show in other posts. Its a duffle bag and I guess it would be really handy for travelling or a sleepover bag. Somehow soon I'll try and see if I can get it going with an outfit or two.

Wonder White

All of a sudden I have been obsessed with white nail polish. This is just a little dedication for white things, which I photographed on a lazy day, nothing big.
